Vettel in Japan for Q30

Ok well not just for Q30, its the Japanese GP race weekend for Formula 1 so naturally Vettel is in the Country. First Vettel met with screaming Japanese faithful at an event Infiniti put on at Nissans Japanese HQ in Yokohama.

After signing autographs for the darlings Vettel, Infinitis Director of Performance, was swept away to spend some serious time with Q30's Chief Vehicle Engineer. No word on anything obviously but Q30 is the first Infiniti Vettel is involved with from the ground up.

is he really involved with developing the Q30?

or is it a marketing scheme?

dundundunnn
Speaking about Vettel, it would be really cool if they made a Vettel Edition Q30, just like how they did with the FX.

I can see it happening.

Do you think there would be a market for a performance vehicle of this size and type? if so who would buy it?
Did they even sell the vettel edition FX? Or was it just a one off?
The Q30 would make more sense as a performance vehicle than the FX does. Once the car gets to be a certain size it makes more sense to be an off-road vehicle meant for towing and hauling instead of just driving fast.

The Q30 is a lot smaller than the FX though. I think it would be really cool to see a Vettel version of the Q30. It would definitely sell.
The Q30 is front wheel drive though.
If they did go with a performance orient Q30 they might make it an all wheel drive to get the most out of it. at least that make sense.

SO DISAGREE

FX/QX70 is barely an SUV, its a G37/Q50 with a bigger shell....

Lexus is making an F-Sport Version of it's Lexus CT, why can't Infiniti turn the Q30 into something like it? I can see them doing it, even if it's just a styling package with minimal performance mods that would be fine.
That is probably what the Q30 would be if there would be ever any sort of sporty trim.
just a q30 with some styling package.

More than likely that will be what it turns out to be, but the chance still stands of a real high performance model.
Even cooler would be one built to be like the Juke-R.
For a new car like the Q30 its better to have it released for a year at least before considering a performance model. i don;t feel a rush for it but it is something good to have if you got the money and it suits your day to day needs.
I agree.

As much as I want a performance model, i think they should hold off on a true performance model for while, a few years. But they should release a sport styling package right away.

I never understood the REASONING behind the Juke-R

Just seems like a massive waste of money....

But I guess the reason behind it is because they just can...

Made no sense financially though. And don't think that would make sense in a Q30 either.

Even an IPL Q30 is questionable.

good chance it's just to show people what hey can do and how much money hey have. Big waste of money
after looking it up. apparently they sold a few of them?!
How much did they go for anywyas? I am guessing it wouldn't be cheap with that engine in it.
oh probably well over 100k. not sure why you dont just buy a GTR.
Juke-R's are actually going to production, not sure when but I heard it was greenlighted with all the interest in it.

Anyone want to guess how many will be built and what it will cost?
