sorry this is somewhat long winded!

I’ve been having ongoing issues the past year, with starting my 2016 2.2D auto, during the initial start after being stationary for some hours or a day, it turns before starting.
I’ve had regular servicing and various maintenance; and recently I changed the glow plugs when doing a gearbox service, but the issue is still there.
I’ve also considered looking at the Glow plug relay, alternator, starter motor etc, if needed.

Last week I plugged in the ctek smart charger to the battery and left it for a few days.

The first few days after were perfect, no issues whatsoever with starting, but day three onwards the exact same problems, so assumption was to change the battery, but this current battery is the Yuasa fitted dec 2023.

I’m having some doubts about constant error codes I'm getting on the OBD, which could indicate an electrical issue that’s draining the battery, like loose wiring?

Can anyone please help/advise?

really not wanting this venture to become costly and potentially pointless in the end!
