Q30 And QX30 Airbag Recall

Not sure if everyone has heard of this already, but Infiniti Australia is recalling the Q30 and QX30 due to a faulty steering column which could activate the driver airbag. 532 vehicles are affected, so if you're in Australia, you may want to give your dealership a call. If affected, the service guys will fix it by adding on a slip ring.

I found this recall on CarAdvice: Infiniti Q30,QX30 recalled for airbag fix

Hopefully vehicles sold in other countries aren't affected as well.

That's a serious problem, I wouldn't want my air bag to explode while driving on the highway... Hope no one here was affected by this issue. It also seems like Q(X)30 isn't really popular in Australia, only 532 vehicles are affected.
This makes me question if other Q30 and QX30 models shipped elsewhere around the world are affected because and inflating airbag is enough to make anyone lose control while driving.
There has today been a recall on the UK Q30s for the same issue

It looks that way, I am surprised though this was reported in Aus a few months ago yet the UK is only now having the recall
