and its going to be based on the GT-R.... Infiniti is expected to make the Q90 about 200 lbs lighter than the GT-R and surpass it performance wise. Heavy dev work has already started with Williams F1 into a KERS like Hybrid system. 100kw electric motors in the 2 drive wheels plus a TT V6 will be good for 800 bhp.... BONKERS.

$150,000, start counting your pennies, here for '15 or '16....

800bhp?! ****...

the rear end look alright but the front just looks weird. Might take some time to get use to.

Well.. what about the previous M sedan?

what about it?
I'll believe it when I see it.

SO its basically a hybrid GTR if it ever happens. Those renders likely aren't accurate at all.
I'd say that these renders are a good starting off point for all of us to imagine what the Q90 could end up looking like, but I doubt that either of these are actually based upon what Infiniti is planning. These are probably fan made renderings. Infiniti has been doing great things with the rear design of their vehicles. The Q90 should not disappoint, I mean it is supposed to be the Infiniti halo car.

Why the fuscia color choice too?
$150k is expected, there's no way it can be anything less than the GT-R. And there's no way it can cost just as much as the GT-R, it will have to be a good amount more. $30k more sounds just about right. Even more right since they'll have to go up against the best, Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, and maybe Cadillac if the Elmiraj goes to production

I am in for the hybrid power but the loks just doesn't cut it.
I was thining that too but it doesn't matter what color it is I have a feeling it might be going through another change on the front end.
$150... wow I would never unless I was filthy rich and a infiniti brand *****.
title should be changed to "looks like another 19 year old Japanese kid decided to render the Q90"

x2, although it does look a bit unreal, there's some realness to it which is what I love. Plus its cool to see someones idea of what the future for Infiniti might be like.
R36 GTR is already in dev, should show in '16. So '17 release for the Infiniti derivative is likely. The R36 is also getting Hybrid tech, so that's where that is going to come from... Also and most interesting is that NISMO is leading the dev work on R36, that was not the case on the current R35, so I'm guessing R36 GTR is more track focused and the Infiniti Qwhatever will be more of a tourer. Right now I think its fair to say the GTR tries to do both and thats really its biggest drawback. You have to figure, the current GTR is pretty heavy at almost 4,000 lbs so the R36 should slash that weight but the Infiniti could keep some of that heft because of luxury tech...

Wonder how Nissan is going to make the R35 better.. That thing is already at the top of its game..

better interior maybe? Less bulky exterior? Weight savings? EVEN MORE POWER?!

$150k!? That is an awful lot of money. just imagine the other things that you could buy with that money. Not just other cars, but also other things generally. Don't you think that that is a tad on the expensive side? I mean the Q90 is no Bugatti or Rolls Royce.

There's a lot of things you can buy for $150k, but as far as a high performing luxury coupe with supercar-like performance, $150k sounds about right. Some even consider the GT-R to be a supercar.... $150k supercar that can take on a lot of higher priced cars? take my money
if Infiniti really wanted a flagship they shouldn't base it off the GTR

because of how expensive the GTR is already. If they offer a luxury version of the GTR it would be insanely expensive for Infiniti.

They should just turbocharge their existing VQ V6 and keep it RWD and call that the flagship.

Leave the AWD throne to the GTR/
@Tsunama you're talking about a whole different ballgame there bud. Veyron sells for north of $2 million and the Phantom north of $400K...

@trals They can split the R35s duties between Nissan and Infiniti now. Nissan R36 can be rawer and more performance oriented while Infiniti R36 can focus on the luxury and comfort while still delivering bonkers performance. Infact, the Infiniti may even push the cost of GTR downwards.
apparently the guy who played a major role with developing the R35 is not on the R36 project and Nismo is having more involvement. We could be seeing a different type of GTR here.

that would be great actually.. Have a GTR go down in price and slot the Infiniti version above the existing GTR with more comfort and luxury.

I REALLY like that idea.
