To most consumers it was not known that the partnership of Infinti and Mercedes has begun successfully and are starting to bloom. The new Infiniti Q30 is the offspring of the two. The Q30 will be using a platform from the Mercedes family known as the MFZ platform. The MFA is another upcoming addition to the family but may be just based in Europe.

Mercedes MFA Platform

So what is the point of the Q30 you might ask. It is a unique breed which can compete in two segments. The entry level luxury sedan and with a flick of a button voila it can now play with in the Crossover segment with it's three way adjustable ride height system. I would say this is a first.

If you have a concern for the power, the rumor is the Q30 will sport a 245hp supercharged hybrid four cylinder engine with a CVT transmission.

It is strange at first thought but don't forget about the Renault and Mercedes Alliance working with Infiniti. Is it me or is it awkward how Mercedes will be competing in the exact same category but both will be sharing the same platform.

The MFA platform is the same as the GLA but not sure about it being the same as CLA though, I could be wrong.

I am still trying to figure out what the three way adjustable ride height system is.

the GLA is on the same as CLA which will be the same as Q30. All three will eventually roll off the same assembly line in Mexico.

We should be able to tell how the build quality of the Q30 will be by looking at the CLA.
Good call on that. Since we have little to live off of at the moment for the Q30, when spetember comes around we can see the CLA up front and look at the fine details.

that is for sure but if you can really justify the cost of getting one, likely your income is in a range that you can easily fill it up
