A Q30 hatchback and the QX30 crossover isn’t a direct rival to the Audi A3 but, what about a Q30 sedan?
Since it was first launched earlier this year, Infiniti Q30 sales have been going strong in Europe with 1,145 units sold in April alone. If the model continues to be a success in its home market and if it proves to be popular aboard, maybe Infiniti will come out with a sedan variant. Infiniti has never hinted that they are thinking about making a sedan based off of the Q30 but if they do, the resulting vehicle would directly compete with the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA.

Theophilus Chin came through with his rendering of what an Infiniti Q30 Sedan could look like. The roofline and trunk shape looks similar to that of the Mazda3 Sedan but with more embellishments. It still has all sorts of styling touches from the Q30 and QX30 like the prominent grille, creases in all the right places, and the chrome trim.
The Q30 is a looker no matter what segment it competes in and paired with Mercedes-Benz’s MFA (modular front architecture) platform, a sedan variant will give the Audi A3 a run for its money.
