As I have registered my interest in purchasing the Q30 I hope to see it 'In The Metal' next week at my local showroom as they will have 1 car for a few days for the employee's 'product knowledge' training. Can't wait to see it and to report back here.

That would be awesome!

I really am expecting good things as far as design goes. I am pretty convinced on that. Mostly it will come down to the drive that really settles my mind or not.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

The drive and the overall feel of the vehicle will be it for me which factors in quite a lot of things, a lot that factor into that overall feel.

That's amazing! Will test drives be included in the training?

Considering the press hasn't been able to drive it yet, I would be very surprised to hear that this event included a test drive.

I am not sure as my invite is purely to view and sit in the car. The official public launch is expected in November including my booking a test drive. I think orders are then taken for delivery in January 2016.

Although my potential interest is for the 1.6ltr Petrol SE it will be interesting to see if diesel models will be heavily discounted due to the VW scandal as sales of all manufacture's diesel cars in the UK are expected to slump. Will this increase the demand for petrol versions of the Q30 and hence extend the delivery period, I wonder?. Watch this space!
test drives are vital, it would be a big mistake if they don't let people do something as important as that is since it's what knowing a vehicle and selling it comes down to.

Not sure of the reason for above post as I am not aware that potential customers (with valid driving licence) have ever been refused a test drive here in the UK.
Q30 united kingdom tour

Just spotted this information on the infiniti .co.uk website regarding a publicity tour around the UK between 15th October and 8th November https://www.infiniti.co.uk/infiniti-world/infiniti-q30-tour.html :D
Quick! Who is in Europe and close to the tour locations?
Side note: my configuration comes up to £31,530.
Might not be anyone on this forum, but checking social media sites using hashtags might turn up some people that are close to the action.
Q30 united kingdom tour

Not only will I get a sneek-peak of a single car (I wonder what colour?) at my local showroom next week, but again on 23rd October at The Trafford Centre, Urmston Nr Manchester just 1.5 miles from my home, lucky me :nerd: . Hopefully in a different colour as well!...can't wait, hope I fall in love with it :x

Am I the only UK resident on this Forum?.
Lol, it seems like it.

Our future happiness and infiniti q30 sneak peeks depends on you! No pressure!
We'll have to wait longer for it to cross the pond and into our showrooms. :crying:

I hope you'll get to test drive it too.

The UK motoring press experts will get to test drive the car before me so as soon as I read their reports in the UK's popular "What Car", "Auto Express" & "Autocar" magazines I will post the web page LINKS on this forum. It is likely to be November before ''demonstration' cars are in the showrooms for the public to test drive. In my case I am looking at style, design, comfort & safety rather that the mechanics under the bonnet & performance criteria.

Q30 Sneak Preview now Saturday 10th October

Just read email confirming earlier preview agreed for Sat pm instead of next week. Test drive not included at this stage, just half hour viewing slots for potential customers who have pre-registered their interest.

Q30 - first viewing

WOW! Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt, that's the Q30 T-shirt.

This afternoon I visited the Stockport, UK showroom and spent an hour oggling, touching and studying an Moonlight White SE 1.6t Petrol Manual 6FWD pre-launch demonstrator model with leather interior upgrade and yet to be available alloy wheels. [See attached photos ].

The car is fab, one of the most stylish hatchbacks I've ever seen. Unfortunately no one was allowed to test-drive it, as the official 'production' models won't be in the showroom until about 23rd November.. I'll drive it then.

In the meantime I have reserved a production 'build-slot' paying a refundable deposit of £1,000 for a March 1st 2016 delivery. ( '16' car registration number plate - we in the UK are obsessed by having the latest number plate which changes twice a year 1st March & 1st September). If for any reason, having test driven it I don't want to officially purchase it I will get a full refund.

I have specified a Magnetic Red 1.6t Petrol manual with yet to be confirmed optional Alloy wheels. The feedback given to Infiniti by the UK public is that no-one wants the specified STEEL WHEELS itemised on the Infiniti web site's configurator screen.

In the meantime I hope to other colours when the car goes on show at my local Trafford Centre shopping mall 23rd-25th October.

That's all the news for now :)

Wow, what an opportunity. Thanks for sharing it and from the look of these photo (which are better than others) it seems like there will be real reasons for some to consider the QX30 over the Q30... since to a lot of people the two seem to have come too close to each other.
