Infiniti Etherea Concept Premiere at Canadian International Auto Show

Presented with members of the Cirque du Soleil circus group, this video demonstrates some of the anticipated features and design cues of the hybrid-electric vehicle.
The Etherea Concept looks very similar to the Essence concept from several years ago, with a few more curves and sweeping lines across the vehicle. Elements of the coupe, sedan, hatchback and even crossover are incorporated in the Etherea's design and profile for a truly unique look.
A supercharged 245 hp engine is paired with an electric motor providing silent, emissions-free driving at low speeds. The concept is compact yet spacious and practical, thanks to a dynamic layout and impressive suicide doors.

I was shocked to see it have suicide doors but after seeing these pictures, it makes sense. If you have all that space and covered area in the rear 1/4 panel area, might as well use it to help out another area of the car.

Not having a B pillar in the way will help with this car being more versatile
WOW awesome design.. i love that car because that is looking very good.. specially the interior of the car is very unique and the steering design is also looking comfortable. thanks for sharing that video... i like that.

It also makes it easier for passengers to access. I am afraid it might be just a concept feature at the moment I would like to see it get carried through to the production stages.
Lets face it the Infiniti Q30 is a very unique design. something of it's own. I don;t even know what it can be compared to on the market right now.

It will be interesting to see the outcome of the actual production Q30 model.

It is, although it follows the same design language the Q50 is on, it's still very unique, i'd like to see a lot of whats on the concept on the production model
i highly doubt the suicide doors will ever make it to production

Yeah it's epic, they need to do that to a Q30, but i doubt it will happen.

just buy a juke R
It definitely wont be a high volume model and possible they might not even do this.
