Hello from Toronto!

New user within this community.

I'm interested in the Q30 as my future car! :D

The Q30 caught my eyes on both the exterior and interiors - it looks badass!

Anyone else thinking of buying the Q30???

Thanks Indiana Jones!

Indeed, it'll be a long wait, but it'll be worth while right?? :D

I'm also looking at the Infiniti Q60, but again, both models are going to take a while to get to the North American side :(

How about you?

Trims

Hi Amy. It is definitely worth to wait! Which tirm are you looking for?
The Q60 is going to be in UK around Oct. I just ordered one few days ago! It is going to be very exciting. Cannot wait at all!
Hey :)

Good things come when your patient! :D

I'm currently eyeing on the sports trim of the Q60. I love the sporty look to the car.

Congrats on your order!! Did you get to test drive it or check out the car in person yet?

I'm excited for you!!

Oh, you are new so you don't know. Our friend here got the chance to ride in the Q30 early because he won a contest. So he has got a leg up on all the rest of us.

We might even have the chance to hear from people that work at Infiniti on the Q30, adding to the first round of people that get a look at it before us. Typically techs have to go for training months before it releases then sales managers and even service managers might get a first look.

If you are looking for the sport trim. Personally I recommend 2.0t city black sport. If it is not on your list, maybe the other petrol engine. I am having the 2.2d at the moment. Sometimes it is still a bit hard when taking over cars.

Thanks for the recommendation. I actually like the look of the 2.0t city black sport! I like the look of the rims too!

Why is it hard taking over cars? Is it because of the size?

I have seen the new Q30 accessory brochure. More beautiful rims are coming, but they are for after market...
You could always get an aftermarket set and sell your set of OEM rims unless you want to have two sets. I usually have two sets, one for winter and one for summer so I'd probably leave the OEM for winter tires and a nicer aftermarket set for the summer.

opti-coat is good for wheel, at least then it's another barrier between the elements and your wheels. But if you happen to curb or damage your wheels to a point it breaks the original coating.. then you need to be concerned. Fortunately it takes some time for that to start turning into rust. Good time to act on.

I have two sets myself too.

Which rims are you planning to get ? do you know of any good aftermarket places for summer tires?

Does the winter conditions really do that much damage to the rims? As long as you wash the car semi-regularly and maybe find some type of spray coating for them, they should be fine. No?
I'm not sure... I assume the salt from the winter conditions lingers on the rims and ruin it in the long run.

Washing it regularly would be good. But sometimes, we have crazy freezing temperatures, that washing it with water.. it freezes up. I sometimes go through the car wash but it doesn't really clean thoroughly...

I plasti-dipped my rims to give it an extra coat of protection, not sure if that would be an alternative to that, but I can tear it off when spring comes around. lol

I heard about opti-coat too! my friend did that for his Audi S5 for the entire car. He has the white color one and it still looks brand new.

Yeah I agree about hitting the curb. That would suck because it's hard to fix.. :|
