Door Open Warning

I got 2017 Q30s AWD fully loaded. I noticed that the door open (including gate) does not give the signal until I drive the vehicle & speed is above 10km. I asked customer care & said this is the design. I think the indicator shall work before driving!!!!! Strange
Is not a safety issue?
