How likely is it that Infinti also uses a similar powerplant to the CLA180 in the Q30? CLA uses a 1.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine already sourced from Renault-Nissan...

Likely in nations outside of the U.S.
Inside the U.S. they're likely to push a hybrid model over a diesel, which is what i know we'll see.

oh yea, how do you know that?
I feel like that is almost always the case with American models. Companies just think that US buyers do not want diesels, but hybrids are in higher demand. I just think that Infiniti will sell the hybrid because they assume that the hybrid will sell more than a diesel.
I dont know, perceptions are changing. RAM sells the EcoDiesel 1500 now, and Chevy has the Cruze and Colorado Diesel. Theres a big shift on right now..

That and even Jeep is working on their efforts to offer a diesel model. The next Jeep Wrangler is said to have a diesel. With that being said the likely hood of other jeeps having a diesel is pretty high
Yea but putting a diesel in a pickup truck or a Jeep car is much different from putting it in a luxury vehicle. I don't think people who want a luxury car are likely to choose diesel, but people who buy pickup trucks I think are more likely to buy diesel.

not true at all. BMW sells the x5 and the 3 series with diesels in NA. You get pretty much any Audi in NA with a diesel, and Mercedes has the GLK, ML and GL diesels.

Why do you say that?

How i see it, it's a good gasoline engine alternative, it may not be as quiet but with the right use of sound deadening materials it won't be a problem it actually hasn't been a problem.
