Anybody know when the Q30 is going to be on sale?

Just wondering if anyone on here knows when the Q30 is going to go on sale. In Canada if possible, but I would also take the US info on this. Just wondering if it is going to be years or if it is going to be just a few months.

Rumor has it 3Q '14, latest I would say is end of 1Q '15...
So that is about a year from now. Like, Fall of 2014. When do you think you can pre-order? That should be happening fairly soon right?

Even as early as summer 2014. there should be some announcement after the coming auto shows in early 2014.
yea I'd guess next summer is when more solid info on ordering or specs will come out.
Maybe we will hear some more info at the LA Auto Show that is coming up. Or the Tokyo Motor Show since that is Infiniti's home country. Those are both right around the corner.

It can happen at either one really. Even a show in china if there's one.
Seems like they want to expand world wide with no limit. We should see something in the coming months.
I was actually expecting to get a date at Frankfurt when the concept was unveilled but still no official date or time range.
O yea, is Infiniti hoping that the Q30 will do well in China. Is that its main target, or is it focusing it more on North America?

If not in one of those upcoming shows, it should happen in Detroit.

Both China and America are some of it's biggest world markets, i believe the focus is on both. Also both require a lot of different things. To start, China needs LWB models and they're getting a LWB Q50.
I don't think that the Q30 will be getting a LWB version for the Chinese market. It is supposed to be a smaller vehicle. I just don't think that would make sense.

I also think that the Japanese brands suffer a bit in China simply because they are Japanese. The Chinese don't like Japan, and this gives the Americans a built in advantage in the Chinese market.

the same can be said about the Infiniti Q50, but unlike buying a bigger vehicle in a larger segment it seems that the Chinese rather pay a few thousand (USD) more for a vehicle thats inches longer.
its because most chinese are driven rather than drive themselves.

It's crazy, having your own personal driver is so cheap that even someone with a Camry in China can afford their own driver.
Think about how cheap labor is in China. Many people would be happy to be a driver for cheap instead of a factory worker for cheap. Shows the class differences in China. If you are rich you get driven. if you are poor you are starving and if you are middle class you drive the rich people.

i still don't think that every luxury car will get a LWB version. Other Infinitis would get the LWB treatment before the Q30 though.

yep. you don't have to be extremely wealthy to have your own driver there. just better than average.

crazy how that works
in the western world everyone drives themselves, even people that own expensive S63 AMG's, Maybachs, Mulsanne's, etc.

Go into the eastern world, people with these same cars have their own drivers.
because we have better tastes here.

where is the fun in getting driven around? pfftt

I agree :D

No matter what vehicle I own, I love to drive it, just something about driving.
At least we rather enjoy the things we own rather then lazing back and not getting the full experience of it all.
